Reliquaries
DCG Holography, various dimensions
2015

Reliquaries is a series of experimental DCG holograms, using diffracted light to draw simplified images of Catholic martyrs. The project contrasts the labour-intensive process of analogue holography with hagiography. In an era of screen-based imagery, the captured holographic image acts as a vessel for the preservation of antiquated knowledge.

Images are taken from the project's 2017 installation in Futuristic Future, Galerie Projet Pangee (MTL). Images include work by Amy Brener and Lauren Pelc-McArthur.
